A quick get away in Repulse Bay@Shoku Japanese Binchotan Grill

Sometime you dont have enough time to do a short trip , going somewhere far away could work for a quick get away, so I took my frd EL out on a thursday afternoon to grab some lunch and breath some fresh air.

We wanna eat a bit of everything, so we began with a salad- whole avocado on a bed of mixed salad leaves with a shoyu dressing, it came with a significant amount of avocado , the greens were fresh and the dressing was mild which made a good start for our meal.IMG_2639.JPG IMG_2641.JPG

EL was craving for some sashimi, so we ordered an uni and toro lunch set, came with soup, sides and a sashimi donburi. The uni was fresh and the o toro was nice too, size is more a lady size but good enough to share between us.IMG_2649.JPG IMG_2651.JPG

Heard that their grills are good we ordered the ox tongue and eel, the eel was super thick, little critism was the bone but it was still acceptable. The ox tongue was good, rank the 2nd on my ox tongue experience.IMG_2658.JPG IMG_2661.JPG IMG_2664.JPG

Since both of us are a fan of steak, we ordered a grill wagyu ribeye with medium rare, heard that it was aussie wagyu but still the quality was really impressive, I honestly dont think the sauce is necessary , just some salt is good enough.IMG_2673.JPG IMG_2674.JPG

And we also had a kinki fish as well, it took a long while to cook it, but the fish is oily enough and the texture of the fish meat was still very silky, we are more than satisfied!

Well it wasnt a cheap lunch, but pamper ourself with a decent lunch to award ourselves with heaps of hard work is so worth it.
