Happen to be in Tokyo again , last time me and my friends just drove by so we decided to make a quick stop there , and we bought a lot of jams , fruits and coffee , this time I am alone to be in the city, a few hours before I head to Narita then I decided to make a move to this place for some breakfast !
A few minutes away from Omotesando Metro station, that’s the Farmer’s market at UNU !you will see roughly 50 stalls , selling fruits, farm products, bakery items, rice and alcohol plus some food trucks!
So the vege soup and roast pork food truck did catch my eyeball, I decided to get some hot breakfast from that roast pork food truck! There was a queue and the gentleman have them make fresh by slicing it and heat it up!
So I had set A! One smoked half boiled egg, one onigiri, smoke pork and bacon with preserved vegetables!
The bacon looked fatty but not really, with a little fat with its natural smokey flavour the taste was fabulous! The pork it not as smooth as the bacon piece by then this meaty bite was good and they don’t taste the same ! The onigiri was served with some homemade miso, crispy on the outside, nom nom!
The smoked egg was the star today , the egg yolk is something to die for! The whole same come to 1000yen, yet it isn’t a cheap dish consider my pork and onsen egg meal was only 1080yen on Saturday! But then the quality was so good I know it definitely worth a try there!
At the back there are some other stalls and with more food truck, I saw some plates and handmade leather items that I wanna purchase, so sad I don’t have much room for it!
So the market is opened on Saturdays and Sundays , 10:00-16:00, if you are in town during the weekend, then do come and check it out
As this market only opens 10am to 4pm every Saturday and Sunday, if you happen to be in Tokyo for a weekend or sth, don’t miss it.
